Pimping for a Good Cause

As all of you know, Haiti was hit with a 7.0 earthquake that flattened the capital city of Port-au-Prince and injuring and killing thousands of people. With the aid of modern technology and social networking sites, it is very easy to donate money to a variety of worthy charities that are working to help the people of Haiti. That is, if you have money to send.
help_haiti has come up with a solution for those of us who want to help but don't have the money to do so. They've organized auctions for art, graphics, food, audio, fic/stories/books, and miscellaneous items. I know all of you are talented, caring individuals and that too many of you are in the same financial situation as me. Please, if you have some extra time and energy, offer something.
Or, if you have money but no time and enjoy the sparkling wit of one
katiemariie, you can bid on a fic or a batch of icons made by yours truly. You can also buy a drabble/ficlet right out in the lightening round.

Kerfuffle seems a very appropriate word, indeed

The comment reached me - the e-mail got eaten, it seems.
Here's the e-mail I sent on the 21st; perhaps I got the address wrong or some such thing:

Hello,
since I love to share, I was wondering if perhaps you'd fancy filling a left-over Yuletide prompt? I picked two from the list that I wouldn't mind seeing get filled in the hopes that if one doesn't tickle your fancy, the other will.
(prompt by sparky77)
I love the randomness of the Abed/Troy episodes tags so really anything with these two being random and awesome would be perfect. A roadtrip would be especially awesome even it was just a roadtrip to the gas station. Slash or Gen is fine and I'd love to see them interacting with the rest of the characters, but I would prefer that the focus be on the relationship between Abed and Troy. (Roadtrip! Yes, please! - M.)
(prompt by perculious)
The characters I picked [Annie, Abed, Troy] are my favorites, but I love any and all of the characters. I'd love a plot that includes all of them, like a class project they have to work on in groups or some new rule at Greendale they try to protest. I don't want to make this a hard-and-fast requirement, but I would also enjoy some Señor Chang crazy. I'm not picky about ships, but I love all combinations of the above characters (Troy/Abed, Annie/Abed, Annie/Troy). Gen is fine too. (Would love either class project or protesting a new rule with Senor Chang crazy for bonus points. - M.)
Thank you very much for offering your talents for a good cause!

> Hi. It seems both of us have been trying to contact each other with little success. I got your comment you made this morning and the donations you made on the 21st. I've tried emailing you and commenting on my thread to no avail. Hopefully, this will reach you. If you could please give me your chosen fandom(s), pairing(s), or prompt(s), I can start writing your fic.

Date: 2010-01-31 06:27 am (UTC)I think I'm gonna go with the second one. I can't resist Señor Chang craziness.

Date: 2010-01-31 10:25 am (UTC)Plus, now when I read the fic, I'll be going 'oh yeah - this was the one where everything went wrong when we tried to get in touch with one another - boy, am I glad we both persisted, because else I'd never have been able to read this'. Or something like that. It'll be um a funny story with a funny story?
